Tykecoon Apparel is a new infant and toddler clothing line from Los Angeles designer, Michelle Burry Harwood. Through sales of our clothing and charitable work, our mission is to help raise financial support and awareness for organizations which benefit children both at home and abroad.
All of products come with a heart shaped tag stating what "I GIVE A HOOT!" about. I being, YOU (or your tykes) of course!
We only use the highest quality of materials. Our shirts are preshrunk super soft 100% cotton, 30 single combed ring-spun. Garment washed for superior softness and minimal shrinkage.
Clothing And Caring
It is estimated that one out of every four children live below the poverty line in the United States. Thousands of others suffer from disabilities and serious illness.
Tykecoon Apparel was started in an effort to help those agencies that are dedicated to assisting disadvantaged and disabled children in meeting the financial needs of their programs. To do this, Tykecoon donates a percentage of all sales to children's charities which have been pre-screened for their effectiveness in making sure the majority of donations are used for their programs and not their administrators.
A Note From Our Founder
"I have always wanted to do something that gives back. And now as a mother it seems even more important to take action. To me Tykecoon is a very powerful, yet playful word which represents the strength that exists in every child and the strength they create within us. They give us new vision as we help shape their world. It's the feeling you get when you see all the possibilities in front of you and nothing is impossible. You have the strenth of a "TYKECOON"!
Not to be all serious...Tykecoon is also playful. As 'tycoon' means powerful businessman, 'tykecoon' reminds me of the moment when your child knows s/he just worked you over to get what s/he wanted; just one more book or one more cookie or just one more hug! The power of persuasion that only a look of a 2 yr. old can master. That, is a true Tykecoon!"
